Reflecting on an inspiring day in Kalobeyei two weeks ago! Stop Child Abuse (SCA) was honored to partner with Save the Children Kenya to host a vital child protection awareness session with caregivers and parents. In the heart of the settlement, we came together to discuss the safety, rights, and futures of our children.
Protection Starts at Home As a refugee-led organization, we know that protection starts at home. During the session, we shared critical insights on:
- Positive Parenting: Strategies for nurturing development without reliance on punitive measures.
- Identifying Signs of Abuse: Empowering parents with the knowledge to recognize early warning signs.
- Accessing Support: Clear guidance on how to navigate and utilize local reporting channels to ensure children receive timely protection.
The energy from the parents was incredible, proving that even in the toughest environments, our collective commitment to our children’s safety remains unshakable.
